أكد السيد عمر سليمان نائب رئيس الجمهورية أن جمال مبارك نجل الرئيس حسنى مبارك وأمين لجنة السياسات بالحزب الوطني لن يرشح نفسه فى انتخابات رئاسة الجمهورية القادمة. وقال سليمان أنه سيتم تعديل المادتين 76 و77 وباقى مواد الدستور.
وأشار نائب رئيس الجمهورية إلى أنه سيتم الافراج فورا عن الشباب المعتقلين الذين لم يرتكبوا أى أعمال إجرامية.
وقال أنه سيتم تعديل المادتين 76 و77 و مواد أخرى الدستور، فى إشارة إلى امكانية تعديل المواد الأخرى، مثل المادة 88 التى منعت القضاة من الاشراف على الانتخابات. وأوضح أنه سيتم أيضا إجراء تعديلات دستورية لضمان تداول السلطة فى مصر
Gamal Mubarak not to run and will be amended articles 76, 77 and 88
Mr. Omar Suleiman, Vice President of the Republic that Gamal Mubarak, son of President Hosni Mubarak and Secretary of the Policy Committee of the National Democratic Party will not stand in the presidential elections to come. Sulaiman said that it will be to amend articles 76 and 77 and the rest of the articles of the Constitution.
Solomon emphasized that the State will be held accountable and the perpetrators of all those involved in the clashes Tahrir Square and lawlessness.
The Vice-President of the Republic that will be released immediately for young detainees who have not committed any criminal acts.
He said he will amend articles 76 and 77 of the Constitution and other materials, in reference to the possible amendment of other materials, such as Article 88, which prevented the judges from supervising the elections. He explained that it will also make constitutional amendments to guarantee transfer of power in Egypt
